Today something really weird happened. At a 20NL table, a guy buys in at the min, $2. He pushes all-in on his first hand. I'm holding AQ, so I call, as does another guy. Flop comes 444. I quickly overbet the pot to push the other guy out, figuring my A-high should be good here probably. Other guy folds, and our lowstack-guy flips 47o. Quads on the flop.. ok, np. Next hand he pushes all-in again, another guy calls. His A7 vs AK. The board gives an A and two 7's, giving him a full house.

Then he loses a bit after a fold on the turn. Not much later he calls a raise, flop is 68Q. Other guy, also a smallstack, pushes and flips KK. Our weird newcomes flips 88 and rises in stack again. By now everyone was like "eh what the hell, lucky bastard" and "why don't you just die" etc . He loses a little bit again, then pushes all-in preflop again. A guy calls. His 86 vs bigstack's J9. Flop is J93. Ah, time to go it seems. Not yet.. turn is 7, river is 5, giving him a straight.

Ok, by now everyone is going crazy, saying "he's a bot!" and "I'm reporting him" etc. The guy said nothing. But really, this kinda luck, I've never ever seen it before. He didn't "just win" with his crap hands, no, he got quads, boat, trips, straight.. So anyway, he plays on a bit.. another guy actually folded on the river to a $0.20 raise he made on a $3 pot - probably out of sheer terror he had another boat (flop had a pair of 5's) lol. A little bit later he left with $18. Damn..

15 buy-ins now, I swicthed to 20NL at 10 buy-ins. (10NL is just too boring and slow)

You see donkey luck like this everywhere. You'll most likely see it yourself, when you win one hand, then fold junk the next hand that you would have flopped the nuts with. Just don't give into temptation.

When I toss 72o and the flop is 222 I generally don't care (I consider it "gambler's instinct" if you let that influence you), but when you doubt and then toss it, and then see a great flop, that kinda stings. Like today I tossed Q9 even though I initially wanted to call.. and then the flop was Q99.. that kinda hurt a bit :P

So... an infinite number of donks with an infinite amount of money will eventually produce a record number of suckouts? Can they do Shakespeare?

Raise or fold.

The rest of the post is just about short term luck.
