Been at the table for about 20 minutes. Villain 1 was 55 / 0 - 44 hands and just seemed to bet/call/raise at random, very loose. Villain 2 was 39 / 12 - 41 hands and even worse. On three previous occassions (not consecutive hands tho), he pushed his (at the time) small $7 allin preflop and somehow would get called and win. For me, this was a great opportunity to pick up some loose change.

How would you have bet the flop? I can post my action later if needed.

Texas Hold'em $0.25-$0.25 NL (Real Money),
11 Jun 2006 4:48 PM ET

Seat 1: sokrboyz ($28.20 in chips)
Seat 2: Hero ($29.25 in chips)
Seat 3: villain #1 ($11.60 in chips)
Seat 4: 1IlIlIl1 ($64.40 in chips)
Seat 5: FORZA_ ($25 in chips)
Seat 6: KJ73 ($3.85 in chips)
Seat 7: forking ($19.10 in chips)
Seat 8: Villain #2 ($22 in chips)
Seat 9: Hallwalker ($26.50 in chips)
Seat 10: cl4sh ($22.30 in chips)

ANTES/BLINDS
Villain #2 posts blind ($0.15), Hallwalker posts blind ($0.25).

PRE-FLOP
cl4sh folds, sokrboyz folds, Hero bets $1.50, villain #1 calls $1.50, 1IlIlIl1 folds, FORZA_ folds, KJ73 folds, forking folds, Villain #2 calls $1.35, Hallwalker folds.

FLOP [board cards ] pot ~ $4.75
Villain #2 checks, Hero bets ???.

Bet around $3 - $3.5. You're craaaaaaaZy if you check.

You ask how I would bet the turn.. but I don't know what happened on the flop or what the turn card was?

I corrected the post ... how would you bet the flop. No way was I going to check. I am just curious how much you would have bet.

Same as if I had AJ or AK (2/3 pot).

If I have top set on an extremely dry board then its unlikely anyoen has any peice, I may only bet 1/3 - 1/2 pot.
Experimenting - 200NL 5max.

OK ... thanks to those who responded. I (unfortunately) potted the flop and got all folds. I was expecting at least one of the villains to call or push but I guess the bet was too big.

Bet out. This is often one of those stack or not stack hands. He either has a A or a J or both, and you'll get paid. This is a dangerous check because, you'll have trouble getting away from his str8 if he hits.
