Best I can figure is that I could have saved 1/2 my stack by not calling his turn raise. I was very concerned when he played back at me but I just couldn't part with my hand. How do you guys play it?
I'll be a rootin' tootin' shootin' damn fool, protectin' my chips.

Larger pre-flop raise folds out hands like J6s.

He reraised a min-raise to about 8x...anyone calling here would likely call a larger bet too.

He bet the pot on the flop as well.

Neither play looks suspect to me. The thing I'd fear from the turn bet is a set that just turned into a boat. Him holding J6 is insane.

Your turn bet looks weak, so an aware player might make a play like this with nothing. If your opp is fairly straight forward (I'd assume most are at this level...though you have to figure that they'll bluff [badly] as well), I'd strongly consider folding to the play back.
