IN A TRNY TODAY, 2500 OR SO ENTRANTS. I WORK MY WAY THROUGH 2 BREAKS AND AM IN THE MIDDLE OF ABOUT 250 PLAYERS LEFT. SOMEONE RAISES 3 TIMES MY BB, I CALL WITH MY POCKET 77.
FLOP IS K-K-7, I RAISE 3 TIMES THE POT WHICH IS ABOUT HALF MY STACK. THE OTHER PLAYER PUTS ME ALL-IN. AFTER MUCH THOUGHT I CALLED. OF COURSE HE HAD POCKET K-K AND ALL WAS LOST.
WHERE DID I GO WRONG??

Lol Documents...
You have to give the entire hand history to see whether you made a mistake. However, of fuggin course if you get to the flop you are going all in.

Sorry motorcity, but: L O L
*Edit* Actually, you're wrong Kingnat. He went wrong before that, when he decided to post in BC instead of Tilt/Bad Beats.
Motorcity, bad beats/coolers happen. Just gotta move on.

the simple answer is you went wrong nowhere...what the hell else can you do? But I also like "somewhere after the caps lock button" theory as well

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

We have no idea where you went wrong (if you did go wrong) if you don't tell us stacks/reads/etc. The only thing you maybe did wrong was call preflop but we have no idea without more info.
Don't post in all caps.
You got coolered and you can't not get it in on the flop.
Welcome to FTR.
Edit: I have split the sarcastic posts in this thread and I have gotten rid of them. I am going to request that you do not post in this thread if you only have something useless or sarcastic to say. Thanks!

Yes, please no more capslock posts. Otherwise: welcome to FTR.
Well, put your opponent on a range, look at the pot odds, put it through Pokerstove if you need to - and there's your answer.
This is such a black and white situation that I would advise you take a break from playing and start reading up on the Theory a little before you go back to the tables. If you have to second-guess yourself there, then there are a million other spots where you are not evaluating your hand strength correctly.
Also I suggest you start working on your bet sizing.
