OK what do these numbers mean if someone gives their stats.
I konw the WSD is wins for show downs. Whats the t and $ for? I'm thinking tie and win.

20.27/11.56/3.54
WtSD 22.33%
W$SD 50%

These are all stats we get out of PokerTracker.
voluntarily put money in the pot / preflop raise % / aggression factor
wtsd is "went to showdown %"
w$sd is "won money at showdown"

Well this depends on alot of factors, mainly if your playing shorthanded or fullring.
But if we for instance play micro stakes full ring, standard Tagg would be about 10-14 VP$IP, 7-12 PFR% with AF somwhere around 2-5 depending on style.
W$SD should be over 55 imo, but this stat. doesn't really matter that much over small samples.
All this is of course debatable, but I try to keep my stats somewhat like this.

there is no right answer for this. Stats depend on way too many variables to even begin to say "you should play x/x/x style.

to me, all these stats mean is how others play COMPARED to how i play.

if i run 20/10/3...then someone under 20 runs tighter. someone under 3 may be less aggressive.

they are great general statements, but dont do much for whether an opponent bluffs missed draws on the river.......a very important read you cant get from pokertracker. go ahead and take the numbers seriously, but dont live an die by them alone.
LHE is a game where your skill keeps you breakeven until you hit your rush of random BS.

Nothing beats flopping quads while dropping a duece!

I've been using PT to analyze opponents a good bit. The key is to get a good read on several players (watch all their hands when you have 800+ HH's on them), and note their stats. Then, see if you can spot others who have the same stats - they often (but not always) have the same leaks.

The key is to keep watching and learning, seeing what general conclusions seem valid. The most obvious ones are inane but often useful: facing a preflop standard raise from EP, I see a 8/2 super-nit in the stats. I look down to find A9s in the cutoff. I fold. But if the EP raiser is 80/35, I might rr.

Less obvious PT reads come with experience and just watching who's playing how and what their stats are.

Miffed22001 is on a distinguished road
you can win money with almost any stats providing you are aggressive enough.
So 30/5 sucks, but 30/22 is much better as an example.

I hate linking away from FTR but this is the most comprehensive thread ive seen on using PT

You should never "shoot for" specific stats

You should "shoot for" playing well, which will lead to x stats
