Recently, I've been reviewing and sorting my stored poker articles and forum posts when I rediscovered this little gem. It's a Cardplayer's article: Poker Mantras - Two questions to ponder during the play of a hand that I found extremely useful and insightful at the most critical moment of my poker career - when starting, with no idea of anything. It's not exaggerating when I say that it is this line of thinking, along with some others that completely changed me as a player once I started to use it. Read it and apply it, till it becomes your second nature. I'm thankful I did.

Nice article I am going to give them a try, I am way to prone to just looking at my cards and seeing my hand and not trying to put my opponents on a hand. Thanks

That's exactly how I was thinking before this. After practicing a little you'll notice that 'level 2 thinking' is much easier than it looks - you just have to ask the right question(s).
