Last Saturday I played online with a buddy and it was a great way to play as you pass ideas off each other on some key hands. No we were not playing at the same tables or even on the same site but we were sitting in the same room on two different computers.
When a big hand came down we talked about the whole hand before a decision is made and it made a world of difference for both of us. You know sometimes when you just need to think out loud. It was a very interesting and profitable experience.

True man, I wish I could stop myself sometimes and ask myself why I would call this bet or raise this guy. A lot of time you just make a move and dont think about why you are doing it or what the other guy has and how your move affects him depending on what he holds.
And good job staying legit and not cheating

lately ive become poker-buddies with a lad who's often at the new 6max tables i play at. yes its very gay, lol, but its cool, we both study the game and post at diff forums. we chat on msn whilst sat at the same table, no-way colluding but just chit chat, sometimes about poker in general, sometimes about players and hands etc.
its deffinatly valueable to think and talk poker to others in real time aswell as on forums.
i like visiting home so i can sit and watch my bro play 100NL 6max, discuss everything, exchange ideas etc.
me and another mate are also gonna start having lil 1-2hr sessions where he'll come round mine, one of us will play and the other watch while discussing the shizzle.
one thing that really stands out, is when im watching my bro play his game.. my decision making seems alot better than when IM sat playing poker for myself! This shows the importance of detatchment, gaining the right mindset etc.
