Think you need to open fold the flop.. He will just be sucking out too often to be profitable betting.

well you're obviously asking about the turn, betting the flop is obvious

minreraising on the turn is also a good way to make less money. If you think you have the best hand then reraise like a man

I'm more content with checking on a flop of QQ8r than QQ2r against a limp/caller.

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

I'm not sure why you're not betting this flop. It'll be harder for him to put you on a queen if you do, especially if you're c-betting a good frequency. In spots like this with position my motto is that you're either going to get paid off or you're not, and there's little use trying to extract small bets on later streets by checking the flop when you could potentially win a big pot.

I for one think it's fine to check the flop occasionally, and ofcourse you want to get it in on the river, just the minraising way to do it is wrong, rest is fine.

I would bet flop around .25-pot and then 3/4 pot on turn. Don't know that I would have been able to get away from it at that point but I doubt he'd stuck around. Damned if ya do damned if ya don't but you wouldn't have been busted if he had folded.

Precisely.

ah so we're exploiting our opponent's tendency not to give us credit for trips on a very dry flop
