BB runs 11/4 over 40-50 hands. Not a great deal to say about his postflop play, except that he was perhaps more on the side of passive. MP1 raises 3% of hands PF over a good sample.
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (7 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com
MP2 ($25.35)
CO ($30.15)
Button ($4.25)
Hero (SB) ($51.55)
BB ($25.25)
UTG ($52.60)
MP1 ($39.40)
Preflop: Hero is SB with 2 , 2
1 fold, MP1 bets $0.75, 1 fold, CO calls $0.75, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.65, BB calls $0.50
Flop: ($3) 4 , 7 , 9 (4 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, MP1 checks, CO checks
Turn: ($3) 2 (4 players)
Hero bets $1.75, BB raises to $5, 2 folds, Hero calls $3.25
River: ($13) 4 (2 players)
Hero bets $6, BB raises to $18, Hero ???
Total pot: $49 | Rake: $2.40
Bare in mind that he's in the BB and that he probably expects MP1 to cbet.
EDIT: whether or not I should be leading this river is also a point of interest...

don't forget 44!
Looking deeper into this it's definitely a fold, he's just never going berserk on later streets.
River is a bet/fold, although I might c/c or even c/f as ridiculous as that sounds.

Definitely fold but I'd still fire out a bet on the river. I just don't think he'll ever bet with worse if we check but if we bet small we can sometimes get action from worse.

It's playing one 200 hand session a day and not riding this shit out.

No, not really. I expect him to check any hand to the pf raiser so I don't have a clue what he has until he raises the turn. I can only see him doing this with sets and 2 pair hands, so when the 4 comes on the river, lots of combinations of hands I beat disappear. I think I only really beat 97, 72, 92 and probably expect he just calls a river bet with these anyway.
Maybe he has an overpair here a proportion of the time, but to then raise the river after the board pairs, seems a bit uncharacteristic of nit. I also think he's 3betting QQ+ or even KK+ preflop, so, all in all, the vast majority of combinations he shows such strength with the vast majority of the time, will be 4x and sets that beat me.
Don't think, oh what's the point posting if he ain't gonna listen: these are my thoughts so tear me to bits.

And ultimately making the wrong decision and it's ending up costing me a few bob.

I didn't mean the naked 4x, i meant 42,47,49,44. I suppose it's debatable whether he even raises some 2 pairs on the turn? Yeah I felt it a real stretch to include any overpairs in his river shove range.
Would check/calling constitute pot control? I kinda like that idea ...
