This weekend I had my first experience in a Casino. I sat at a 1-3, $100table with a lot of action (many people willing to call 3X raises with marginal hands and pot sized bets with second/third pair or a draw). I managed to work build my stack up to a little over $300. Then I got A10 or better for 4 straight hands. In each hand, I raised pre-flop, missed and had to fold to a strong raiser. Then the hand in question came up.
I was dealt A Spade /J Clubs . I wish I could recall the exact order of the hand, but I believe their were four limpers. I know I raised 3X the blind and got 4 callers. The flop came 3, 5, 10 with two clubs. It was checked to me and I checked. Turn was A Clubs. Again they checked to me. This time I bet about 20. The guy to my right and one other guy called. At this point, I don't think anyone has Flush. If they did, the would reraise here. The River came another Ace. I am thinking to myself how much can I bet here and get a callers. Then the first guy to act goes all in. I know that he is capable of going all in to push someone off a hand when there is a lot of money on the pot. He had done it twice against a guy at the other end of the table. (he flashed me the cards as he mucked).
I am not putting him on a flushed based on the way he bet throughout the hand. If he has an ace here, I am thinking my kicker is good. The possible straight draws are dead. I do the thing I know I am not supposed to do, I called off all my chips. I know that I am not a strong enough player to be able to get away from this hand. But my question is, should I have known better? I still think that given the situation, this call justified. Thank you in advance for your comment.

Don't try and put people on hands after the fact, try to put them on cards. It's easier to remain objective.

My guess is he has the flush (or BOAT) and wants someone with an Ace to call... An overbet on a board like that, I don't call my stack off without teh nutz, or a solid read. Him showing me those cards earlier would make me FOLD this hand more than I would call it...

You MUST raise more preflop if you want to play this hand. 4 limpers + blinds = $16. I've got to bet $15 - $20 preflop. Using 3x+1BB/limper you'd get $24 and that's a little too much here IMO. Perhaps we should just fold this here, but I think it's too strong to fold in a typical loose NL game.
Need more info on whether you should call the river or not. stack sizes mainly.

He's repping strength when there is no sign of weakness. He has a hand that beats trip Aces, he knows you have it.

Never call huge over bets on paired/flushed boards without a boat. People make those bets because they know strong hands will pay off their nuts. He flopped a set and improved to a boat on the river, almost definitely.

It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

hes got something like A 10 or a flush. Just because they didnt raise on the turn doesnt mean they are not slowplaying. It seems odd too that he would flash you bluffs for no reason then try to bluff you the same way
