I always have trouble playing in this situation. I am dealt like 99. and the flop will come 7810, or I'm deal JJ and the flop comes 910Q. What would you guys do?

Bet a decent amount and try to take the pot down early. This is a good flop for you, so bet like it - you have possibly the best hand at the table, and a strong draw as well.

Play like you had a set. Check-raise.
Since you have 2 jacks, it's doubtful more than 1 other person has a jack.

and pray that you don't hit your set on the turn, 'cause now it's worthless. :P

Hmm...sets? Worthless? boooh. :P

You said if you made a set it would be worthless but i dont neccesarily agree. If you bet strong enough (assuming your not playing against total idiots) then most people will dump an inside straight draw. Even if they do chase the inside you still have 10 outs on the river for a full house or 4 of a kind

I look at the fact that anyone holding on to a straight draw will be looking down at a K or an 7 in the case of 8910Q. And you know that you have two of the Jacks already that they need. Chances are slim of the third one coming.

While a queen would still have an advantage over your underpair, you're still drawing to the straight or with pretty good odds. You're still in good shape. Bet it.

depending on the circumstances that is a darn good flop. If someone bets strong into you, don't reraise. Call if you have pot odds for your osd, else fold.

If it is checked to you, bet it strong.
