I'm trying to plug some holes in my game, and these are two situations I'm having some trouble with.

1. I hold some crappy hand in BB, such as K7o, and the flop comes down Kxx.

2. I hold a mid pp such as TT-77 UTG or in blinds (which I limp, is this correct?) and the flop is all unders. (this situation is obviously a little bit better than the first, but not alot)

I'm not really sure what to do in these situations. Since I limped to the flop, there are probably quite a few players in the hand with me, and they easily could have flopped a hand better than my overpair or tpwk. On the other hand, should I give this up so easily, because I do have a decent hand, and I dont think check/folding my TP is the right play either...

My play as of late has been to bet out, but I'm not happy with this option, because unless I take the hand down right there, I have to tread very lightly on later streets, due to my not-so-great hand and crappy position. On the other hand, I hate to check my TP, because it just gives other people manuveribility to suck out for a better hand, or bet me out of the hand from LP with worse holdings.

I am pretty sure that I am even or negative EV for my current play in these situations.

Any suggestions?
