 Villain had only played 17 hands and was running 44/12/4.
Hadn't noticed any special tendancies yet given his small sample.

BB ($3.77)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with K, A
Hero bets $0.20, UTG+1 calls $0.20, Villain calls $0.20, 4 folds, BB calls $0.15

I have a strong hand and raise the regular 4x the BB hoping to thin the field a bit and get a couple of callers...I succeeded.

Flop: ($0.82) 4, K, 3 (4 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.70, 1 fold, Villain calls $0.70, 1 fold

On the flop BB checks, I bet roughly 85% of pot to charge for draws and hope that one of them either a) has a king they want to play, or will pay to play their draw. The Villain calls, I put his range at KX and a plethora of FD's...

Turn: ($2.22) 10 (2 players)
Hero ?

The worst card hits, but this guy is probably pretty bad, do I keep assuming that I'm best and keep betting? or do I check here always? Under what circumstances would I check, or bet given that he sucks? I run into these spots so often, I don't really know what to do vs these type of players....

 Can I expand then?

If he was tighter, say 15/4/2 would we check the turn?

In this hand, if I bet the turn, how much? 1/2 pot, 1/3 pot etc?
If he calls my turn bet, do I bet the river or c/f? Reason I ask, is if he has a high flush he will probably just call to induce another bet on the river....if he had a poor flush, I would expecthim to reraise the turn...

Maybe it's just me, but I don't ever bet less than 1/2 pot unless it's to induce a bluff against an aggro villain or as a value bet where I believe villain will only call with worse hands for a small bet.

I don't see how checking the turn works if he's tighter. Since he flatted PF, let's say his range to continue on the flop is AK, KQ, maybe KJh or KTh, 33, 44, 55-QQ or 65h+. You still beat a good portion of his range, so you bet the turn and fold to a raise. By raising, he's representing the top half of his range, in which case we should fold unless previous reads/stats tell us not to. You can get a little more in depth here with math and all that, but you can do that yourself with PokerStove.

Assuming we bet turn and villain flat-calls, what is our plan for the river assuming a 4th heart does not hit?

Generally I would bet 1/2 pot and fold to a raise, but it depends. If I have enough hands on villain that tells me he likes to slowplay straights and flushes, I probably check/fold. If he's a station, he's calling with weaker kings or worse, and if he raises the river, he just hit his kicker. Anyone disagree?

 it should be obvious that b/f is a preferable to getting value in this spot over c/c, unless villain has ever even heard of a float. so unless villain is so tight/passive that c/f is correct, then i'm betting here most the time.

Checking when the 3rd heart falls screams "I'm scared of the flush", which basically (In most cases anyway) turns your cards face up. And you give villian a chance to take over the hand. I'll often bet here with air if I get the read that my opponent hates this card and isn't normally a tricky player who will "pretend" to hate the flush when in fact he hit it.

And it never fails if I give the oppenent a free card a 4th heart will fall and turn my hand to shit.

So I say b/f is the way to go at this level anyway. Checking does nothing to help you and leads to even harder decisions.
