No reads on villain. Have been going through a terrible couple of days of getting sucked out on, losing set vs. set, etc., so was a little gunshy. Really doubting myself lately. Plus have been losing with hands like this repeatedly. Too quick to fold? Or wrong size bets on flop and/or river? How would you play this?

I should add that this is only about the 4th hand at this table, so no reads on me either, I am assuming.

What is your rationale for a push?

Short answer is that I've been spinning my wheels. I've been very up and down. Started with a very minimal investment, with a goal of getting rolled for $25NL. Every time I get there, I get knocked back down to $10NL, and I'm struggling a bit now. But hope to get back up there sometime soon.

How about you? (Feel free to PM me if it's getting off topic.)

It's too early to give this up, imo.

Edit: To clarify, your hand is too good to fold on this board at 10nl and calling allows you to get sucked out on by the various draws out there, so bite the bullet and push.

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

If you aren't willing to play for stacks with the 2nd best starting hand in HoldEm after only 4 hands at a 10NL table, then you are just giving away money. If a single buy in has "that" much value to you, then maybe you want to move down in limits again so that you aren't as concerned when you get sucked out on...

That is a very drawy flop, so he could be raising with a LOT of hands that you are beating...Bet the flop HARDER like you actually have the winning hand! You have 2 people to act behind you! Push over his (likely) bluff! Get some aggression in there! Stop looking for the demons in the closet...It's just variance.
Hey knucklehead! Bonk!

You're extremely far ahead of his raising range there, and you're just-short-of-extremely far ahead of his range that calls your push.

you raised pf, he called.

you bet, he raises nicely. its a set!!

but, YOU DONT FOLD KK+ to a low flop!!

not at the 10NL level.

he could be doing this with any overpair, and i doubt he has AA or he would have RRed you pf.

he could be doing this with flush draws. any two overcards like AK.

you just dont know down here.

you only fear sets, and 2 pair hands...but with 2 pair hands, you have about 11 outs of a redraw for the board to pair, or you to hit YOUR set.

DONT FOLD THIS.
LHE is a game where your skill keeps you breakeven until you hit your rush of random BS.

Nothing beats flopping quads while dropping a duece!

A8, A7, 8T, 82, 94...

I mean really, can we put a 10NL unknown on a range? He could have virtually any two cards in the deck. He's just as likely to stick it in with one pair or a flush draw as a hand that beats us...it's just, there's so many more hands we beat that are totally possible.

OP, I think the difference between a marginal winner and crushing that limit is basically putting all the money in every time you're supposed to be ahead. The reason is because they call all the time when they're way behind.
