should maybe go in HH forum, but i decided to post it here.
UTG minraise, couple of callers, I reraise to 12xBB w/ AKs from button. original raiser calls, others fold.
pot is about 27xBB, effective stacks are 100xBB (post flop), opp bets 18xBB into me, am i too deep to push with flush draw, inside str8 draw and two overs?? and if not, then how deep is too deep? if so, how shallow would you have to be to push?

27+18=45bb. w/ 12 outs if he hit a set on the flop you are close to a coin flip. but the pot already has a ton of change in it plus you might be able to add a couple of outs w/ your push, if he hasn't got a set, though i'd imagine he has gotta be around 85 to 90 percent at least to call your push. still this is another 10 percent chance you are gonna win. i think you have a huge amount of equity here and you should not be afraid to push.
also if he calls your all in a certain percentage of the time w/ overpair qq-aa, then you will be able to add 6 outs whenever he calls w/ qq and 3 when he calls w/ kk.

i am glad that there is consensus. i basically posted this to make sure that i was playing scared. this was my first attempt at moving (back) up in stakes. i am properly rolled (~25 buyins). since i am playing scared (as i would have pushed in a heartbeat at my regular stakes) would you suggest i stay down and work a bit more, or move up and get used to the larger buyin.

It takes time to adjust. Just because you play scared right away doesn't mean you always will. Give yourself time to adjust.

think about what the correct play is and then make it.
Money/buy in/% of br should not make a difference if you have followed the core rules (br management etc) correctly, after all the game is just about making more correct decisions than your opponent.
