I just wanted to thank the FTR krew for a great site. I have been playing fake money online for a few months after reading alot on this site, and links therein. Became very interested after playing a few free tournies at Pacific Poker (so popular they no longer offer them). If anyone ever offers them again, they are a decent way to learn tournament strategy (at least low buy-in) Big advantage over ring play money is that you can actually buy pots, represent, and bluff. I played 6 10 or 20 player tournies, came in 3rd, 3rd, 1st, 4th (on a stupid move - trying to semi-bluff the short stack), with 2 early exits.
Today I played my first real money online (I played much in college - but that was before the internet became THE INTERNET)... came in 3rd in a $5 tourney.
Went out as short stack calling all-in with KJos after flop rainbow rag flop and everyone limping in PF. (I thought the guy I called was making a play, since we were both way short... he ended up winning)
I do have to say it's kind of a pain in the butt to make a small deposit... all my CCs were rejected. Ended up using Netteller, but it took about an hour to actuallly play, what with all the futzing around with different options and confirmations.

Hey Zen,
Welcome aboard. Playing your first real money tourney and finishing in the cash - not too shabby! Good job.
