After a few bad sessions I have about $150 in my FullTilt account (actually $149.88).
So I decided to try to run an operation to have 30x that amount within a year.
Rules of the operation:
1. I am not allowed to redeposit at any time. If I bust my bankroll I can build it back from Freerolls
2. I will not risk more then 5% of my bankroll at any given session and will not risk more then 10% in any single day
3. Any form of game is valid (Sng, MTT, Ring, Holdm, Omaha etc...)
I will update this thread with the progress and with intersting hands that I run along during this operation.
Some background info on me for those who never run accross me in this forums - I am playing online poker as a hobby for about 3 years now, mainly Sngs, I usually play on Stars, 27-35 turbo Sngs
Courtie, if you feel this is not the approriate forum for this feel free to move the post

Started with a decent 3 low with an A, so I limped and called the raise
I caught good on 4th street and it is a multiway pot, so I decided to bet it, was happy to get a small raise
5th Street: Caught perfect, now we are freerolling for high with a guarnteed low and the only concern is to extract as much money as possible.
In low buy-in games I usually just bet and hope for the best, worked out prefectly this time

Preflop: I have low SC, and villian minraises when I am SB, I usually call this with ATC.
The flop gives me an OESD and is not likely to help my opponent, he c-bets and I call, usually people who c-bet will not fire another barrel on the turn.
Turn is perfect for me, if he has an A I am destacking him.
I check, hoping he has an A and will bet, I am risking giving him a free card if he has FD, but I am willing to risk it
He bets and I call.
River - I thought about checking it, but figured if he has an A he is calling it

In a year?
I understand you're doing this for hobby and most likely do not put the needed time into studying the game, am I correct in assuming that?
Even if so, just the amount of table time you will acquire you should be able to go far far farrr beyond your goal my friend. Maybe study more and become more ambitious.
Reguardless, good luck.

I am playing poker as a hobby
Most of my bankroll is in pokerstars and this is where I do most of my gaming
This is an operation I do for the challange and to see whether or not I can do it
I am playing poker about 10-15 hours a week, and I assume some of it will be playing 1 table in FT parallel to my pokerstars gaming

Day2:
Played 2 6.5 Sngs, bubbled out in one, 7th in the other (AK raise preflop, 1 caller, flop KQ5 rainbow, I bet, villian pushed I called he had KQ)
However I won 30+ bucks playing Razz 0.5/1 (set down with 5 bucks...)
So overall a decent day

I'd be wary of playing 0.5/1 razz on a short bankroll.
You're under rolled for a really swingy game like razz or stud, hence the really high 30BB profit

I agree that I am way underolled for those games
However I think that I have a bigger edge in those games in the low buy-ins then in Holdem, simply because the competition is pretty bad, and if you stick to good starting hands & well timed ante stealing you have a big edge in those games

Busted out of 2 more 6.5 turbos, which makes it 5 in a row (pretty pathetic) before winning a 6 seater one.

In most of your Omaha posts it seems like you play every hand pre-flop even if it's one of the worst starting hands in the deck, why play this hand?
Anyway I have no doubt you'll win this challenge unless you tilt it off or something.

It depends on the table and the betting structure. In this table it was usually pretty cheap to see a flop (almost no preflop raises) and since its no-limit there was a lot of betting postflop.
In those types of games I tend to see lots of flops in position with pretty much anything, because if I hit the flop strong I will get paid off very nicely

Finally after a long stretch of breaking even around 150 I managed to break the 240 barrier, which will allow me to move to the $12 turbo
