Anybody else do this at all?
I find it painfully easy to get Yanks to loosen up at $10nl.
Nothing against them, (well, nearly) but their USA USA USA pride is what puts them up for tilting.
I chuck in a few witty remarks or take the piss out of George Dubwywywya and they are away. Its spewtastic.

Although I enjoy meta-game play, I prefer it to occur naturally and not force it because I feel like there are enough variables in poker to contend with without intentionally creating more. So, I do not try to tilt players and rarely ever chat in general. However, if I think a player is tilting, I will obviously try to take advantage. In fact, yesterday evening I was playing and the player to my left lost a big pot and typed "luckbox" in the chat box. I felt he would probably tilt and lucky for me I got a reasonable hand in the very next hand and put in a small raise. I wanted to tempt him to push the rest of his shor tstack in, which he promptly did, and my Jacks held against his nine deuce suited.

Speaking of which, have any of you had the pleasure of playing against tugjd on PokerStars? Or are any of YOU tugjd? I've run into this guy at every level from $2NL to $25NL. He loves to complain and lecture whenever he loses. I made the mistake of stacking him and not understanding he was representing a set and that I should have folded my overpair when he actually had suited connectors with no draw and no piece of the flop.

Sounds like the common micro donk who will use any excuse under the sun for them losing. Other than them playing the hand badly of course.
Get them on tilt.

While I find it fun to locate someone on tilt and play against them, I do find it difficult to force them into it. often times I tilt myself by even getting involved in the chat, because I spend too much time working them to actually pay attention to the other players... but it is fun watching donks tilt each other and then me reap the rewards (much more rare but enjoyable the few times it has happened).

Was there any poker strategy involved in this thread? Hope you have more to contribute in the future.

^^^^^lol i don't think it's a completely useless conversation. i actually use the chat box and Show Cards functions a lot (hence my signature). i show my bluffs like every single time against stations because they're idea of "adjusting" is to call off their whole stack next time with garbage.
it's important to at least have a sense of HOW your opponent's tilt is going to affect their play, though. i don't really get in metagame wars against aggressive players because it's harder to gauge exactly how they'll respond and before you know you're the one who's stacking off with TPTK because they're just raising your cbet 'cause they're tilted right?

I don't think metagames are able to tilt other players. With me, at least, it doesn't work at all. Continued bad beats are very often the greatest cause of bigest tilts!

Chop off one of his legs. This is why GMML is always tilted.
