I've been reading though things, trying to catch up and learn more. Why is "tilt" a negative word with a bad connotation? I know it seems like a silly question, but bear with me.

 Tilt is not a negative word. The action associated with what we call tilt is negative.

I mean when a pinball machine says TILT it is not a good thing
