I make money on the .05/10 game at royalvagas now, but i'm thinking about changeing sites because of the way that the "playcheck" works (it's a real pain).

I would really like to change to a site that saves the games on my local hard drive, and that has .05/.10 games.

I dont have the bankroll to even try the .25/.50 table (I would be depositeing about $100)

Any suggestions?

ps: a nice signup bonus would be nice as well =) =)

I would take your money over to pokerstars. There is no deposit bonus, but they have micro limits and its a good place to learn.

I don't know how it works exactly (I don't play there) but Party Poker will allow you to save hand histories.

I do play at Ultimate Bet and while there is no built in way to save them, there is a freely downloadable program that will save them to a folder of your choice. The bonuses at Ultimate Bet are a 40% deposit bonus (up to $200) or a 50% deposit bonus if you give them a name of who referred you. I've heard that UB's bonus takes longer to cash in than other sites, but again, my experience is chiefly with UB, so I have no basis for comparison. It seems fast enough to me. Other sites have bonuses as well, but I don't know of any that offer more than 25%.

PartyPoker does, but they don't start low enough. Stars will email them to you.

In reference to UB, get the hand history tool from poker tracker. Here's a link: http://www.pokertracker.com/ubh.html

I'm going to try UB I think, I withdrew $100 of my $155 bankroll, and $50 is going into UB and the other $50 will pay back my initial deposite from when I started playing (so i'm playing on profit)

I wasnt able to find much about charges, so I HOPE that both NETeller and royalvagaspoker dont charge for this, but i'll know soon. =) .. (I think that NETeller will charge a couple $$ for the deposite, but I know they let me withdraw for free)

This will give me $50 on royalvegas and $50 on UB to play with.

Thanks for the help!

PS: My next $55 is going to go to buy pokertracker /grin

Do you get a bonus if I enter your name? (if so, PM or post with your name so i can give you credit)

/grin I've already use the link on FTR to download the program so that they hopefully get something out of it.

Neteller will only charge if you select the options that they charge for (i.e. yes, they may charge [I'm not sure..depends on how it's set up] for accepting a deposit from RoyalVegasPoker, but they wouldn't charge for money from an EFT account transfer as long as you go with the weeklong transfer method).

P.S. You'll love PokerTracker. If you don't already have it, go ahead and download it. You can analyze 1000 hands for free. Hopefully by the time you're past that and your $55, I'll have my guide up and you'll have a referrence for how to use it

P.P.S. Then again, hopefully that's not the case and you get your $55 much faster than I complete my guide.

One thing i'm a little worried about now is that i've been told that the quality of players on UB is higher than average..

As a learning player, I dont want to play where the average player is better than me, I want to play where the average player is worse than me!

Does UB have higher quality players than average at the .05/.10 tables?

Oh, and what would ya'll place 7sultanspoker at?

Thanks
David

7Sultans is going to be the same as Royal Vegas - Prima Poker Network.

You may want to check out Pacific Poker - competition is pretty weak over there, they have a nice bonus structure allowing you to actually play with those bonus dollars. Considering your bankroll, this may be helpful for you. And most of the players will be worse than you. If you don't like UB, give Pacific a shot.

Again, my experience is almost exclusively at UB. I hope that you're right that they have better players than other sites, because that means that once I work off my bonus there and I switch, I'll tear through everyone.

I haven't had a problem finding players I can beat at any level (from .01/.02 to .05/.1 to .1/.25 to .25/.5) since I started. I did get my hide handed to me when I tried to move to .25/.5 prematurely, but on my second (properly bankrolled) attempt, I've been pretty successful.

The one thing that you might run into is that .05/.1 games tend to stay pretty full. During peak hours you'll have to wait a while to get into a table (usually 5 to 10 minutes...more than that if you're wanting a specific table). Before I had the roll to support .1/.25, I'd just play .01/.02 while I waited.

i agree with JeffreyGB:
Don't overestimate the difficulty of UB microlimits. I've found them very beatable.

There can be a problem finding good tables if you play at off hours (3-6am ET ub game time), with only a couple of full tables at each level.

I changed to UB last night, and have no regrets... I made like $40 last night in about 2 hours playing 1-3 tables of .05/.10 ...

I'm guessing that the people saying that it's a hard site to beat like to play passive players...

I love these loose aggressive players!!!! =)

I hope that what I ran into last night is normal. =)

The link that gets FTR props for UB is if you download it from here, as listed in this article.

As far as I know, you can sign up with anyone's info after that point and it doesn't affect FTR one way or another. PM sent as requested.

Do whatever you need to for about $500. Open a Party account, take the $100 max bonus and beat the snot out of the .5/1 game.

Not sure what this is replying to, but I find it interesting and possibly helpful. While I'd feel comfortable at a .5/1 table with a $500 BR, wouldn't that violate either good BR management or violate the principle of max-buyin?

Or am I'm making myself look like an idiot again because you're talking about limit?
