 Spenda said start new tables, so I did. Agro boy joins up and it's raise/raise/me-fold for several hands. He shows down 43o in a 3bet pot. The hand below is probably spewy, and I'd like advice. I'm showing the whole hand because it worked out, and demonstrates Spenda's point pretty well about the competition you get with new tables. BB had joined only 3 hands earlier, but he's played all 3 w/ agro boy.

I have 25 hands on agro boy (we're about even), and I'm pretty freakin' sure I'm ahead. He's 2-barreled J-high a couple hands earlier in a 40bb pot. Perhaps I should have waited for a better hand? I'm not a good HU player, but if this is the payoff I'm gonna start studying in HU forum.

 oh I just saw how the PF and flop action went down, I thought we bet and were raised. Um, it's def. a more interesting HH than I thought, but if the dynamic is right I can see calling or shipping/4betting. However, in the heat of the moment I would more than likely have folded. Thinking about it now I'm not a huge fan of calling if we're going to check the turn when a brick rolls off.

 Thanks for advice on HH. Still, the main point is to start these tables and play guys who will stack off with 2nd pair and no realistic draws. Get better at HU and profit.

 you'll entice more people to sit if you buy in for some weird amount, like $37 at a $50nl table, most bumhunters who suck HU will sit thinking you're a fish then bam, mobnies.

 KT hand - depends on BB... he donks full pot into two players - one of which he must realize will play back... so depending on history I can see myself either raising to isolate the btn - bb might fold KT, KJ, KQ - maybe even AK if he's not adjusting, and you're obviously happy to get it in vs btn.
I don't really like calling. You'll play the turn oop vs the raiser who could very easily c/r the turn with a better hand vs btn.

Spenda, was it you who made the post about opening tables instead of table selecting?
I think I owe you a couple of k for that.
Not that you're getting it ... but that was one of the best advice I ever got.

I find this very interesting. Do you think this thinking works at microstakes? I'm at 10NL...I'm not sure if people at these stakes think "This guy is sitting with $6.50...he's probably a fish." What do you think?

Word...do you? I like to try and have people covered so I can maximize my potential monsters. Do I keep with this way of thinking when there are 3-5 people at the table?

 BOOG690: I've tried this at $10nl 6-max and it so +EV. I buy in for $6.70 or some weird amount. (I find no one sits if you buy-in full for some reason because they think you're 'good' or something or you'll get some retard 20bb stack interested in just pissing you off)

So once you're seated, the typical action junky crazy donk will come sit down with like $6-$7. HE WANTS TO GAMBOOL.

Play heads up for a few hands and yet another fish buying in for like $5-$7 sits down. And they're not like standard fish either, they're super retard donks that stack off with like ten high, open-shove Ax preflop, 3-bet anything suited, you name it. Getting it in with AJ preflop vs these guys is fist-pump worthy.

Eventually some horrid shit-donk TAG-FISH will come along thinking 'oooo 3-4 $7 stacks easy money'. This type will buy-in max, and since they're pretty bad, reload to max, and now you have some sick amount of EV waiting for you.

If you don't like the position you're in at the table once people start to be seated, change seats or leave and repeat the process. I find the bad players don't even notice seat changes, though I've had a deep aggro Taggy-fish comment about it once when I changed seats to get position on him and he left. (Which isn't a big deal since easier money was at the table to begin with)

When I do this at full ring I've found the players to be a bit more weak-tight. If you want ACTION, do this at 6-max. Joining an already established table just ends up being a nitfest alot of the time (for full ring at least). If you're sick of getting no action but seeing AA/KK and you want to get paid off, start a new table. The action degen gamboolers love getting a quick fix.

FWIW I don't think anywhere from $10-$100nl will be much different regarding this, maybe just fewer donks joining at the higher end of the stakes spectrum.

If you're getting bored with the usual 'grind' get playing short handed with like 2-4 players by starting your own table. It's alot of fun and it's a great way to build the roll. Plus it's an easy way to find fish.

 I was goofing off at 25 plo this afternoon and started a table - much the same result. I may never join a full table again.

it's even better at PLO b/c all the nit-regs HATE playing HU cuz they suck. However, the tables will fill insanely fast, I've sat before and had a 5-handed game before the 15sec. waiting period on Stars was over.

Grinderschool has a link on their site to start new tables, and you get like 100%+ in rake back or something close to that.

 that's called "propping" and it's only on really small new sites trying to drive their action. If you decide to do things like that make sure the site is not known for holding withdrawal requests, poor rake structures, and a tendency to bail on their props.
