First of all, I want to say thank you. i have been trolling this forum for about 3 months now, and have learned a tremendous amount from all. While I still have some fishy tendencies, I am trying to get better, thus my request for help.
I have seen a couple of discussions on Poker Tracker. Is this the program to use? Do you use it, or have it open while you are playing and keep refreshing it?
I see may acronyms like VP$IP. What do these mean? What should I be trying to get them to as far as %'s? I appreciate any help I can get.
Thanks

Poker Tracker is a program that tracks every hand you play online and also records your winnings and losses. It keeps stats on your play and allows to you look at it and analyze your play. VP$IP means volume put in pot i.e the percentage you put money in the pot.

close, voluntarily put $ in pot. = when you entered the pot outside of the blinds
In limit you want that in the range of 15-20%
NL I would assume about the same
I have it open while I play with gametime+ and it refreshes party skins histories autmatically every X minutes and gametime+ overlays the opponents info onto the game table. Very helpful in a game.
