OK, it's time to get all schmaltzy.

I'd like to say thanks to all the FTR-ers who've both encouraged and berated me these past months. You know who you are, I hope, so I won't go through a list of names.

It was only a month ago that I was writing to say that I was having problems -- mostly mentally -- with moving out of the $2 game. I look back and see how silly I was.

It's good to be confident at something, and as the man said, "Making money is fun!"

Hey Jiggus good to hear you are doing well. I'd be interested to hear about how you approached the mental angle ... I've just moved form 2nl to 5nl and the players seem just as fishy, yet my results are much worse and the confidence has taken a bit of a hit

Well done Jiggus. See its not so bad.

Ive said it before and ill say it again. Moving up from one micro limit to another is all about confidence. You already know how to beat the game solidly. . . youve been doing it all this time. Dont second guess yourself just because the chips are different colours.

Play more hands Buzz. Once you get used to the amount of money on the table you'll realise its exactly the same game.

I do owe it to the guys on this site, you know. Really I do. I think that I would've burned out my last 150 deposit some months ago and just reverted to being a casual gamboller. But now I am starting to think that I can realise my utlimate goal one day in the not so far off future.

I think from my first post until now has been a truly enlightening educational experience. Never thought that I'd be a regular on such a forum but here you have it.

This forum is accessible and not off-putting as are some. The advice is honest and comes from a genuine spirit of trying to help one another. I wish that there were more movements like this in the world, really, but I digress.

Much more to learn, but it feels nice to sort of semi fit in here. I love the game, and whilst it takes up a lot of my free time, it does offer something that few other hobbies do (unless your hobby is collecting bottles and cans from the street, that ist): monetary gain!

That might be true, but take some credit; It is still you who has to have the discipline etc to put what you know and learn into action, even when all else around you are calling off their stack with J8 on an inside str8 draw with tainted outs!!

well done Jiggus, keep it up.

Heh Jiggus - I feel a bit of a fraud giving you advice when your BB/100 is almost 3 times mine! Nice going though dude, and well done for moving up (and making it work). I see your BR is just about $25NL-friendly, though - any thoughts about taking the next step...?

Hey Mr. Biondino.

Your advice and prodding were instrumental in improving my lot.

I think I'm just on a very good run of cards.

I think 500 bucks would do for the 25 dollar crowd. It'll be my new start in my new city, I think. I'm moving in two weeks, and two weeks, with luck, may get me to five hun.
