Im still learning ALOT... and have already picked up GREAT information from this forum.
I am novice at best but I do understand hand ranges, pot/implied odds and +/-ev
Still have a long way to go before I am comfortable with all that however.

Most of what I've read has advised to picking tables with plenty of callingstations and maniacs. I can see the value in this and it has paid off on several occasions. But what I've been running into alot more is short stack players buying in at $25nl with say $5 and raising every hand. I'm not talking about the sharks that fold everything and wait for the best hand possible to go all-in.(which is even worse as it has destroyed alot of my preflop game) I mean the ones that are raising 2xbb every single time. At first this seemed like a rare occasion, but lately every weak table I've sat at I've seen several of these.
I don't have a hand on me to post, I will try to pull it up later when I get home, but one was somewhat like this just last night:

In the BB with JJ, vilian raises from MP1 $.50
He's stacked at $4.50
Action is folded to me
I've watched this guy on two tables making these raises and calling
3bets non stop with any hand, ANY hand, J3o being one of the worst
I 3bet and make it all-in for him to go, I'm stacked at $28.75
He calls and shows A5o
The flop comes J,6,2
Turn, 4
River, 3
Now I would never make this play with JJ against a regular player.
I just knew he was raising here with nothing and since it was folded to me felt this was the best way to either extract max value or have him fold there and move on.
Now I realize this is just one specific play and it could have gone several ways, but playing at these tables with callingstations seem to be costing more then making profit.
However, when playing at a real table with mostly sharks/rocks, It seems like the game play is much smoother, profitable and more enjoyable.
So I guess the question is, how are you handling these stations that are constantly drawing out? I mean 53/24? Crazy
This right now is probably my biggest leak. Constantly betting into them and then getting raised on the hit river. If more hands are needed for these situations I will post when I get home, but I'm sure most of you know what I'm talking about.
I really appreciate any advise and insight. This site is awsome!

I have been having a similar run as of late ($2nl). The way I see it is you made the right move. You are a little better than 2:1 in that situation. That's the way I try to look at it and while it doesn't help immediately (my emotions do run hot sometimes) it will work out in the long run because they will suck out only 1 in 3 times.
know the enemy and know yourself, and in 100 battles you will never be in peril.

know yourself but ignorant of the enemy, your chances of winning are half.

if ignorant of yourself and of your enemy and you will always be in danger.

Yeah, I aggree, and 1 in 3 sounds spot on, problem last night was I had none of the 3's... was just a bad suck out night against me. But my tilt management is in full effect and though I'm sure vilian was laughing it up on the other side of the screen, I know I was playing good poker. And I felt good about my decisions and later on I took back $4.00 of that money.

I was able to dig up the hand as well, vilian was not MP1 he was CO and it was A5s so my memory is not as good as it used to be, but let's see if I can post it:

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (7 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

saw flop | saw showdown

SB ($34)
Hero (BB) ($25)
UTG ($23.05)
MP1 ($15.40)
MP2 ($12.35)
CO ($5.35)
Button ($5)

Preflop: Hero is BB with J, J
3 folds, CO bets $0.75, 2 folds, Hero raises to $4.75, CO raises to $5.35 (All-In), Hero calls $0.60

Flop: ($10.80) J, 2, 5 (2 players, 1 all-in)

Turn: ($10.80) 4 (2 players, 1 all-in)

River: ($10.80) 3 (2 players, 1 all-in)

Total pot: $10.80 | Rake: $0.50

Results:
Hero had J, J (three of a kind, Jacks).
CO had A, 5 (straight, five high).
Outcome: CO won $10.30
