Ok so I wasn't familiar with Table Ninja until I read something the other day and then looked it up and read a little. I was intrigued so I down loaded TN and set it up. Now I only set up a couple things mainly my bettting structure on each street. I set it to open at 4x +1 and then each street is set up for 66%, 66% and 75%. I did this because when I am multi-tabling I often find myself fumbling around with the bet slidder eating up valuable time. I will often just end up clicking a min bet if I feel like I short on time and have another table with action on it etc. So now I have these set up as defaults and I can adjust as needed or if I am rushed have a much better default bet already set up. I also have it set up to automatically take a seat when I select a table. Now this is good in that it is pretty quick so if there is only one open seat you stand better chance at getting the seat. Now the down side is if there is more than one seat available it doesn't allow you to choose which seat you want.
So what other suggestions do you have if you have been using TN or similiar programs? Also what do you see as the downside of such programs. I do worry about being to robotic although I don't think that is a problem so far.
Just curious as to what you all think?
I should add I have not had a loosing session since I loaded it up. I know that is probably just coincidence!

If not having enough time to size your bet to anything except a minbet is a common problem for you, I'd say you're definitely playing too many tables. You'd probably make more money playing better poker at less tables.

nick your point is good although it is not a common problem just one that has came up on the rare event that multiple tables get big hands at the same time, ie: two sets and AA etc.
You are right about playing to many tables does equal lower winrate. I try and find the correct balance for myself. I find if I play to few tables my ADD kicks in and I play to recklessly, conversely if I play to many tables then I miss many oportunities etc.
What I have done just for the fun of it a couple times since downloading TN is to drop down to 5nl and open up a massive number of tables by slowly adding a table at a time. As I get comfortable I add another table. Only done it a few times and each has been profitable and a learning experience.

I use table ninja and I’m a fan but I don’t use default betsizes post flop and I don’t use the auto take seat feature. It’s a great program but remember you don’t have to utilize every feature basically for the reasons you mentioned.

pig would you share as to what you do utilize it for? I am curious as I have just started messing around with it. I have already discovered that what I thought was cool as far as the auto seat is more of a pain. Hell don't try and rail somebody at 200nl or your ass is sitting down!

I recommend that you start with the bare minimum of functions that you find useful and gradually increase one at a time so that you can way the pros and cons for yourself. Even using none is okay as I find that the way the program organizes cascaded tables by colour coding them based on urgency helpful. Generally speaking anytime you are making your decisions automated (which auto bet amounts encourage) you’re losing value both in EV and in improving as a player. This being said here are some functions I find useful.
1) preflop bet sizes (BBx3 +1 per limper) is okay to automate however you should recognize that sometimes adjusting your preflop bet size is +ev.
2) Auto Buy-In is handy.
3) The action hot keys are obviously handy but as always think before you act also the sitout at all tables hotkey comes in very handy when you suddenly become violently tilted.
4) Bet pot percentage hotkeys are useful but remember there are times when the 4 pot percentage amounts offered by table ninja insufficient.
