I just wanted to open something up for discussion. I play 6 max at 25 and 50NL on PP.
Does anyone else find it more profitable to switch tables frequently, or to stay at a table for a while to get a feel for the players?
For the most part, (maybe cause my skill level isn't too great yet) I seem to make more money by switching tables pretty regularly. For some reason, I seem to "max out" at a table most of the time, meaning I get to a certain amount and can't seem to win any big pots after this. (Or maybe I get too impatient) I usually play pretty tight at first, then once I make a hand I play it very tricky and end up getting a pretty big pot. But I guess you can only get away with this kind of play so many times before others catch on.
Now don't get me wrong, I will stay at a table for the right reasons. If I see a weak player I'm definetly sticking around for a change to get some of their money, or if I'm at a table with a lot of action I'm staying as well. (Especially if there are people talking shit to each other... just love that)
It's been very rare that I've been able to completely dominate a table for multiple hours and continue to stack chips regularly. Usually, once I double up or win a few big pots, I just move on to another table and use my tricky play once again, wash rinse repeat.
Does anyone else use a similar strategy? Am I just not mixing up my play enough? Do I need to switch from tricky, to solid, to LAgg to keep everyone off balance? I asume that I'm missing something, cause once I've built up a stack, shouldn't I be able to use some of that big stack to my advantage?
Like I said, just want to hear some other opinions...

I noticed the same thing for me. I think it goes to show we are far from good poker players. Need to be able to change and adjust our style and strategy in order to not be read by other players.

But @ 6 max it is so easy to get to know your opponets.
After awhile you'll know exactly what they have, because the vast majority do not care about table image and will never switch gears.
It's always fun to find a passive table and run over them.

But at 25NL do you even need to know your table? Not really. You can run over the table not even paying attention, which is why these tables are easy money.

Full rings, yes this is true.
@ 6 max though you can be even more profitable, because you can tell which of your opponets are TAggs, LAggs, Loopy etc. and adjust your play accordingly.

Which is why he switches. He says players catch on to him too easily, so either switch tables or switch gears.
