Listen guys. If you're going to go through the motions of posting a hand with the idea that you'll get better by asking opinions, that's wrong. Instead, you should post your own analysis and get opinions and criticism on your ANALYSIS. This includes at a bare minimum what you think your opponent's range is and how you think he plays it. That's how you're going to get better, so stop acting like a bitch when I point that out.

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

it's a trick, though. just get a raccoon tail and fly to the top of the level and there's a magic flute. once you get that thing, man, it's just:
1) Get dealt cards
2) Play magic flute
3) ???????
4) Win money

I disagree, I don't think he's targeting one person in particular. There's been quite a few posters who he's been getting on about using ranges.

I agree with the original poster. It's certainly not unusual to see hands posted without a lot of information about the situation, the players involved, etc. And also without anything on the poster's thinking process, which is clearly critical in terms of improving. So people can do a better job of helping others to help them.

Spoon's right, and it's usually pretty simple. It often doesn't have to be very detailed. Just something along the lines of "I raised the flop because I put him on a draw and thought I could get him to make a loose call" or "I played this hand out of position because I wanted to mix up my play" or "I don't think he makes that pre-flop raise with pocket 3's".
If you aren't able to do this, it may mean that you really don't understand why you played the hand the way you did. And if that's the case, you almost certainly played the hand incorrectly.
