Default Submit Questions for Mike "Timex" McDonald Interview

I'm happy to announce that Mike "Timex" McDonald has agreed to do a telephone interview on Thursday, August 7th, to answer questions from FlopTurnRiver forum members.

I'd like to ask as many questions as possible in the ~10 minutes we'll have available, so please feel free to submit questions for Mike in this thread.

As far as I know, Mike is up for talking strategy. One topic that I'll be sure to ask about is his thought process in the 2014 PCA $100k Super High Roller bubble situation (video can be seen in this thread).

The more questions I have to choose from the better, and I'm hoping we get a lot of response from this initial interview so we can have even more member comments for future guests.

How do you keep a straight-face during the staredown? What's the funniest response you've received when doing it?

I think this thread would attract more traffic if it was cross-posted in the commune btw.

How do you handle the down swings?
Has there been a point in your career in which you just felt burnt out in regards to playing poker and if so how much time did you take away from the game?
Not sure if you still play online but if so, How do balance your schedule between live and online?
How important is it for your career that you win a WSOP bracelet?
Last but not least.... Do you do the "Timex" stare while you play online?

I agree, but am unsure if we want to place poker-related content in the Commune even if it is an official FTR interview. Most of the replies would likely be non-poker related in the Commune, which would make for great, lengthy interview content but may not be something I could properly get into with a guest on a 10-minute timeline.

For now, let's keep it here and hope to get more questions for Mike. If anyone from the Commune wants to chime in with forum placement opinions they would be welcome here. My inclination is to leave this thread out of Community Forum for now though.

Bank of Timex (Think that's what he called it) was awesome! Did you net win $$? Scrubs charging huge markup is funny, I don't think it's wrong per se though.

    Mike,

What was your reasoning behind calling with KQ and risk bubbling? Especially when Newey was UTG and still had to go through the blinds if he won?

    Hi guys,

I've postponed this interview until next Thursday, August 7th, in order to get more member feedback for Mike to reply to.

I'm still working out software issues on my laptop so I can record the interview via Skype. In the meantime, feel free to continue submitting questions for Mike McDonald.
