I recently moved up to 50NL from 25NL on Stars when my BR started to be able to support it. I found that the style i used to win on 25NL, was a lot less effective at 50NL. I don't think it was anything different I was doing, and i'm almost certain it wasnt just a run of bad cards (although my sample size is small since the move up...but disregarding that).
The way i won at 25 NL just doesnt' seem to be winning for me at 50 NL, and i've seen a steady decrease in my BR since i moved up.

So, tonight when i get home from work i am going to try and move down to 10$ NL and see if i can start winning by changing my style to much tighter-aggressive, and see if i can't start playing 2 or 3 tables at once tightening up.

The advice i'm looking for is concerning this switch from lag to tag. I'm gonna start playing a lot less hands per table now, do you even play suited connectors, 1 gappers, suited aces, etc at all from position when you are trying to play more than 1 table? Do you ever have time to concentrate on one table enough to develop reads? Is it ever worthwhile to try and bluff/play the player when you play like this? Or do you just play the cards standard as can be?

I want to be able to move up to 50 and 100NL even by the end of the summer, is this the best way to do it? The style i've been using just doesn't seem to be working out for me any more.

Move down to $10 NL when you are Bankrolled for $50? Why do that? If you are unconfortable at 50 drop back to 25, which you said you are beating. Also I'd suggest that you start multitabling, just open up one more table and play tighter, just play cards. You'll see its not that dificult and you'll get used to it really soon.
Reads when multitabling are not that much difficult. I Usually play 2 full tables and 2 shorthanded. At first all my attention is at the sorthanded tables, I play my cards only at the full ones. But after an hour or so I always form reads about the players at the full tables, not consiously, sth like a feel that I know what they are raising with, if they are tight etc.

Well playing a completely different game than i'm used to, i was going to just drop down to 10NL for a while, until i start winning or see that i can win by playing tighter. I don't wanna risk 4 buy ins at once multitabling at 25NL when i've never done it before.'

Hey man, I am in exactly the same situation that you are in. I moved up from 25NL to 50NL at the beginning of summer (on PokerStars), and it seems like the "camping" strategy just doesn't work as effectively. I still have made a healthy profit (around 1k), but the good runs just don't seem to come as steadily as when I was killing 25NL. The big thing that I noticed is that continuation bets get a lot less respect, even when you try to fire the 2nd or even 3rd barrell. Also, as a whole, I found the players are more aware and considerably more aggressive, although there is still a good amount of fish. Who knows, maybe this last 2 weeks/ month has just been a bad streak, but I am definitely thinking about switching sites strictly for ring purposes.

PS. I don't see any reason for you to drop down to 10NL, unless you just want to regain your confidence. If you were beating 25NL, why not just go back there?

Dont drop down to 10NL, thats dumb if you are bankrolled for 25 or 50.

I dont know, but from my experience, NL50 played ver y similar to NL25. I had no probelm camping and consistantly taking money from the fish, while for the most part avoiding and occasionally outplaying the few good, aware players at the table. TAGG is definately the way to go at 50NL. Still plenty of fish ready to throw their stacks onto yours.
online br: $14,000, @400NL full ring, 100NL 6 max

I also think that they is no reason to try your new style at 50nl. 10nl is a much different game and what you learn there about your new style may not totally transfer onto 50nl.
