I almost got stuck in a FPS move but folded. My question here is based off my opponents stats. Villian is running 17/10/3.3 w/ %6 3 bet stats. How often do you try to make plays on opponents based off there stats? Or what type of stats would you classify someone who is aware of your hand range?
In the hand I checked the flop knowing that I was behind but that I would do that with a set of Aces or Kings here also. He led out for $5 and I got the urge to raise him representing a set. Or would that actually represent a set? A better line to rep a set would be to call the flop and shove the turn or checkraise the turn?
No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (9 handed) - Hold'em Manager Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com
UTG+1 ($4.65)
MP1 ($25.85)
MP2 ($24.75)
MP3 ($28.50)
CO ($2.90)
Button ($23.05)
Hero (SB) ($26.50)
BB ($17)
UTG ($39.90)
Preflop: Hero is SB with J , J
UTG calls $0.25, 1 fold, MP1 bets $1, 4 folds, Hero raises $2.90, 2 folds, MP1 calls $2
Flop: ($6.50) 4 , A , K (2 players)
Hero checks, MP1 bets $5, Hero folds
Total pot: $6.50

I think there are much better spots to play back at someone. I am not a fan against playing a high variance style against an obvious TAGG whose range is crushing ours. Wait until you have a better read to pull off elaborate bluffs. Truthfully, at 25NL, why are we even thinking about big bluffs? They may be fun when they work.. but watching the bankroll bounce up and down like a roller coaster gives me a headache.

Are we talking about the same hand?
Who's bluffing?

I meant the line he took was perfectly fine...
sorry... major replying-to-subject fail.
c/r the flop is really bad... He's rarely folding an A... you can't rep AAA or KKK here and hope he'll fold everything else.

I don't know if I would let the player's stats influence me here. If he paired either the Ace or the King he had you beat. Choose to fight another time.

I dont like the 3bet from sb here.3betting here makes it the top of Vil's 3bet calling ranges, and 4bet spot.Villain is a standard TaGG like you said.
As played on flop is fine.
