Hey everyone, I just registered for this site and im switching from Pokerstars to FullTilt. Im going to be making a 100$ deposit on the site today and im just looking for advice on how to build a bankroll from this amount of money. I would love to build it up and play for a little bit of extra money in the future, but i have to get up there 1st. So if anyone has had any success starting around 100$ or so and building it up to several thousand, Please tell me where I should start sitting at and the games i should be playing. =) Thanks in advance to anyone who helps.
FullTilt name: Elper
Donations: Excepted =)

Thanks again everyone!

What do you feel comfortable with? Ring, MTT, SnG? If you do not yet have a preference, then I would suggest starting with the SnGs. You can get a good amount of hands in with a pretty small deposit. I am not sure what the smallest SnGs are on FullTilt, but try those. Also, try and get in some low buy in MTTs also. The more hands you are able to play, the better. Be prepared to drop your $100. I don't know how good you are yet, but I know that I was down around $700 before I became a winning player. Read up on the posts about bankroll management also. These will give you a good, safe basis for choosing the games you play. My best advice is to be a contributor to this site. Do that and the experienced players will be happy to help you out.

Hopefully you have a rakeback deal sorted out.
It won't make a lot of money for now but in a few months when you're playing higher limits RB is essential.

Also if I were you I'd grind it on stars and transfer at $600 to take the whole bonus as you only get one chance.

Good luck

I love SnG's personally... I prefer MTTs, but rarely have the time to sink 4-8 hours into a tournament. (180-person SnG's are my current fav. MTT!)

But, with respect to SnG's, I'd be tempted to suggest playing somewhere different than Full Tilt. The $1 SnG's have a $.25 fee (1/4 of the buy-in). $2 are better, still with $.25 fee (1/8 of the buy-in).

At my former site (and the site at which I play SnG's, subsequently), UltimateBet, the buy-in fees are 10% all the time which will save you a lot and boost your ROI in lower limit SnG's.

Just my .02! Good luck, I'm tryin to build my bankroll as well.. I look forward to hearing how you do.

Maybe I don't understand that link, but it looks like those rakeback deals don't work at any of the major sites.

Um...you should have signed up through a rakeback affiliate like www.raketracker.com (for example).

I'd read stuff about players on certain sites getting banned for using rakeback companies... I'll go look for threads to learn what was going on, but is it legal and/or within Terms of Service of Full Tilt and other sites to use rakeback in the US?

I am pretty confident rakeback would make my break-even FR play into winning FR play. Thanks in advance.

Is it possible to go back and get-in on a rake-back scenario after already setting up with Full Tilt? Playing at 200NL and around $400 is raked off my tables daily.....how do I cash in on that?

After already signing up and depositing at FT, getting a rakeback deal is tricky to say the least. You can try and contact a number of rakeback sites and see what they can do, but I wouldn't hold your breath waiting.
