Okay, so I wasn't too sure where to post this, and though this was as good as any. First off would like to say rake is killing me. Currently at 10nl on Stars over 23k hands I have profited. +$150ish (3.15ptbb/100), and paid the same amount in rake.
Now I have been told by many that fpps/vpps somewhat of Stars RB system, but have realized you don't earn many of either at the micros (10nl at least). I have also been told that the fpps substitute RB because when you are SuperNova Elite you can trade in 100k fpps for $1500. So I understand that concept.
The one thing I don't quite grasp is how it is determined how many fpps/vpps you are awards? I have read on Stars and understand that they are awards if you play in a raked cash game or tourney with entry fee. It says that for any game 200nl or lower that you get fpps for every pot that reaches $0.40c in rake. What does the size of the pot have to be to have that amount of rake??? ($8?)... And does that mean that if a pot reaches above the requirement you are awards 1 vpp and depending on your VIP status you get the corresponding fpp? Because I know that a gold star gets 2 fpp per 1 vpp, whereas a bronze star gets 1:1.
Can someone expalin if the above is correct, and if not corrct it?
Also, I'm about to make the jump to 25nl of stars. I wondering if it would serve me better to withdraw my roll and deposit it at another site like FTP and do the bonus, while also getting rakeback? Thoughts?

Your in the same boat I am in. I don't think the pot has to reach $8 to earn a point. It reads that way, but I wouldn't be making nearly the points I do if that were the case. Even still its slow going, and found SNGs earned points much faster at this level. I went to them to clear my deposit bonus.
I am wondering myself if I should move my money to a more rakeback friendly site, and even made a post about it in this forum. I still am unsure what to do exactly.

The parts in the bold above are incorrect. I'll be doing a thread covering all relevant topics later today.

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

Thanks spoon. Looking forward to reading it. Will it include the answer to my question regarding keeping my roll at stars and playing 25nl or transferring to FTP and clearing the bonus?
