villain is around 30/ten (goin' off memory).

i believe that small betting on paired boards is one place that donkeys have actually merged there ranges. i just as often see them playing the ace here scared of the four, as i do someone slow-playing the trips. my question is about the turn and the river:

turn: do i raise as a sort of funky double barrel? i know this folds nines and split pairs, but i think aces actually wrongly continue too often for my liking with this play. FD's are fifty/fifty here, but i'm betting them for value anyway

river: standard b/f scenario? do worse hands call or am i just better of seeing a show down? important to note that a $6 bet puts him all in so no worries about c/r's here

Full Tilt Pot-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (5 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

UTG ($46.64)
Hero (MP) ($45.48)
Button ($19.04)
SB ($19.75)
BB ($9.75)

Preflop: Hero is MP with ,
1 fold, Hero bets $0.75, Button calls $0.75, 1 fold, BB calls $0.50

Flop: ($2.35) , , (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $1.50, Button calls $1.50, BB calls $1.50

Turn: ($6.85) (3 players)
BB bets $1.50, Hero calls $1.50, Button calls $1.50

River: ($11.35) (3 players)
BB checks, Hero???

umm, interesting.

I just check it back because his line is so fucked and we have showdown value. I think value betting here is super thin, I mean, he's donking draws alot of the time so those missed, also, 9x could easily have been A9 and he's playing it really faggotish. I dunno, his range could be weighted towards being really strong, but really weak I guess. I think this is a really poorly played 9x hand though, but will it call all in on the river?

If you put him all in he'll probably get scared and only call you with worse. I can't even recall how many time's I've gotten a fish to put in half their stack or more by the river only to fold because it puts them all in. (some fish should get together and write a book on fish pyschology imo)

Personally, I'd look for a spot where villain hasn't played a tricky line to go for thin value here. I imagine he just missed his draw alot of the time or had 9x. Just look for a better spot imo.

c/f, people's floating ranges on the flop have a lot of ace high hands in them
BB may have air, but the button could have TPNK
or BB can have a 4 and be playing it like a retard

I mean you can value bet super-thin if it's heads up, but 3 way your ranges need to be tighter

wow i didnt even realize this was still 3-way.
i don't see how you could ever be betting for value here ever, c/f unless you get ridiculously cheap odds, as in greater than 10:1.

I wouldn't turn a hand with showdown value into a bluff here.
