So, my BR has gotten to a point where i can take shots at 200 NL again. Today i did, and was doing quite well, and then i spewed 200BB deep for my entire stack.
I was really upset, so i quit ten minutes after. Then i talkedto my friend Lyric, who most of you know probably... he's a pro 5/10 and 10/20 shorthanded NL player who does poker for a living.
here's a part of my conversation with him:
Me: How much do you spew in a 2 hour session? In general...
Lyric: I probably spew 1k-2k a day.
Me: Wow, really?
Lyric: well, probably more like 1k. It used to be more.
Anyways... i guess the point of this post is: Everyone makes mistakes. Even those high/mid stakes pros. It's hard to avoid every once in a while so don't kill yourself over it.
That is all.

As strange as it sounds I think I don't spew enough. I think this works OK at $50NL but I feel that I am missing out on golden opportunities. I honstly believe that I should learn to push some hands in NL cash games i.e. good draws oop etc.

spew means bad play.
If you mean making an aggressive play, i'd say at 50nl prolly not, 100 or 200nl id say yes.

Ok. I was just referring to a hand where someone called pushing an OESD spew.
Of course I spew. In card games of course and even away from poker i.e. I am working in my job for 16 years and I still make mistakes. I just make less than I used too. I hope this is comparable to playing many hands in poker and learning from mistakes.
