Was wondering what software u guys use exoker tracker, poker edge. I was looking into both of them, wondering what your guys thoughts are on them. Are they vital in your success in online poker? Do they both have HUD, and spreadsheets to keep track of you history too. I was looking at pokertracker 3 I think it was like 69.95 is that a 1 time charge or is that a monthly cost. While poker edge i think was like 30 a month.
Stackin chips and rippin lips!!

I do believe there are 2 that most people here use ,poker tracker 3 (PT3) or holdem manager (HEM).

They are both available on trial basis for free. Ive had them both on a trial basis and I found I couldnt really be bothered with them, I fiddled about with them , but couldnt get to grips.

so , I went to the tables and learned more poker.

Then last week. I woke up and realised something was missing in my poker life , so I just bought pokertracker . Suprised myself too.

I found , because I actually owned it , I sat with it and slogged it out, working out how to use the program, its awesome, really helped me focus my game.

I have heard tho, that Holdem manager is slightly superior.

Well , thats my life story, sorry to waffle.

Download Pokertracker and use it for 2 months free. Then download Hem and use it for a couple weeks (I think) free. By then you may be able to afford to buy either one. I bought HEM as it's cheaper adn I really couldn't tell any difference.

I have both HEM and PT. I really like HEM better. I like the note taking system and HH review a lot better than PT. There are good things about both. I belive that PT is planning on adding some new features soon. Just do the trial of both and see which u like

there is a new tracker out its made just for cake poker but works with stars and tilt also merge network as well as cake poker. its name is sharp stats it doesnt have a hud or keep track of your oppenents. but it keeps track of all your info and is very good for free. i have HEM but downloaded it to see how it was. i liked it it has alot of stats and some graphs. not as good as PT3 or HEM but real good to use untill you get a big bankroll.

PT3 now works with Cake Poker and Bodog. Not sure about HEM. FWIW, I have PT3 and I like it because it is always being improved and updated (well at least 3 or 4 times a year).

Poker edge is not allowed on some sites (Pokerstars).
The price 69.95 for PT3 is lifetime for 2 licences (two PT3's running on 2 different computers with one serial).

I use PT3, Pokerstove (free) and MS Excel (I track my sit&go game there, even though PT has it built in, I like to organise it by myself).

And no they are not vital for success, but they can improve your game and winrate.

daviddem will become famous soon enough
Poker Edge and Poker Sherlock are also not allowed on Full Tilt. However, unlike Poker Stars, their software does not actively try to detect and prevent the users running it. But I have read on another forum that Full Tilt can ask for log files before allowing you to withdraw money from your account, and they make problems if they find something suspicious (multi-accounting, running a poker BOT, running forbidden software, etc). I am not sure what exactly is recorded in the log files.
