My guess is that theres something going on behind the scenes here. If you'll check the forums you'll see Aok removed his post on counterplay.

Perhaps Aok will fill us in?

Its been down for probably week and a half to two weeks I think. I figured aok would email everyone with a new location if and when he had one. I figured you would have heard something. Wasnt you part of the final proof and editing team?

I don't know what happened to the site. I have been working with xianti to set it up here, but there are "copyright issues" with using FTR (which is why I also removed some content that will go in the book from FTR). By "publishing" it on FTR in posts I could lose ownership of the copy. So we are in search of a new forum to use. Unfortunately I have had very little time to try to find one or set one up.

Xianti and the other top guys on FTR are very much behind Performance Poker being successful. It's just one of those issues where the lawyers rule the roost and the peasants run in fear. No worries.

Also, since I can't get the member list from edudlive I don't know the contact info for the members of the review team. Please check in here so I can have a new list, if you are on the review group.

We'll set up a new site somewhere. And get going again. This project will never die.

I have to say, Aok, I tend to prefer your posts when you're not PREACHING in CAPITAL LETTERS to your flock of eager listeners - it's a bit like a virtual Billy Graham at times!

(But maybe the kind of blind devotion you invoke IS applicable to learning good poker - assuming what you preach is a/the *right* way of playing, then a total adherence to your rules is probably the key to being a winning player)

Let's see if we can get organized. here.

First, I will need a few new reviewers. But more than anything we need a place to finish this book. So, if anyone has or can create a private forum that won't go down in the next year, then let me know what and where.

The key point is that by posting there I can't lose the intellectual property rights to the book.

Also, I don't have the reviewers list from before, so if you were on the team and want to stay on the team, let me know and I'll put you in the new forum.

Once we get the new site set up we'll figure out how many new people we might need and start inviting people to participate.

Sorry about the disruption....

NOW BLIND MINIONS GOOO FORTH AND CONQUER THE WORLD.... BRING ME MONEY AND WOMEN AND POWER BWWWAAAA HAAA HAAAA!!!!!

Put me down as staying on the team when things get up and running again.

Sorry I dont have access to any message board or anything like that. You might try MSN or Yahoo, they may have free message boards, but I'm not sure on the legal issue or whether they would have rights to your book or not. I've never looked into anything like that.

Yahoo groups is pretty simple to set up.

There's someone I talked to at FTR, who I can't remember, who has the skill with phpBB -- start a new thread for a louder shout.
I'm a know-it-all.

No, really.

AOK: Count me in as another "fan" who is eagerly looking forward to your book. So far, I've (not quite religously enough) followed your advice (in the at the lowest stakes). I'd be more than happy to review what you've written and offer constructive criticism/feedback/etc. I've only been on-line for a week or so, and could offer the (informed) new player point of view.

One quick question that I've never seen addressed, what is a reasonable % win rate at 10-table? I understand it's largely irrelevant, but I'm curious what you've seen.

10-20BB per hour per table. If you're averaging more than 10 net over the long run then you're doing well. It's easy to double up in 20 minutes, but the question is what you do long term.

just to be clear, I'm presuming BB means big blinds in this context.

Although I don't doubt Aokrongly is capable of making 20PTBB/100, I was presuming the same thing lol.

any consistent winning game is a good game. What I look for is 10 big blinds per table per hour.

i'm uploading the content on the new php site for Performance Poker. Yea, I hate Yahoo too. it's just taking a bit because I'm also trying to play 4 or more hours/day.

Counterplay is an alternative style to Performance Poker. It'll be in the book too.

Give me a week. I'm off on Mon and Tues. Shoudl be able to get the content loaded and send everyone invitations to join the new forum.
