Hi,
I'm playing the 1.20$ SnGs at PokerStars(2Table) and wanted to ask you if the competition on PartyPoker is similar at the 6$ SnGs, since this is the lowest non turbo stake???
Thanks in advance, Me

Hey, I have recently gone the other way, so I can tell you that the play is indeed comparable between Stars $1.20s and PPs $6. There are still a large pool of people willing to call your AI reraise preflop with garbage like 7Jo. The blind structure at Party isn't nearly as friendly as at Stars though, even in the non-turbo SnGs.
Level 5 blinds at Stars = 75/150
Level 5 at PartyPoker = 200/400
And you start with the same amount of chips as well. Which is one of the many reasons I've pretty much stopped playing at Party.

I feel the opposite - the Party blind structure seems the right pace while Stars is painfully slow (not helped by the painfully slow software). But I usually play 6max ring or turbo SNGs so maybe it's just a lack of patience on my part!

That's certainly one way to look at it. I tend to play really tight in the early stages of SnGs though, and on Party that quite often meant that a sizable chunk of my stack was gone before i played a hand. Thus i was pretty much reduced to shoving or folding. And i struggle not to tilt when i see idiots build big stacks when they double up early on by pushing with complete garbage
Just out of interest, do you play the turbo SNGs on Party? Those things are mental.

I haven't played the party $6 SNG's in a very long time, but damn they were soft back in the day. I don't advice you to play them though because the rake is huge and I don't think the bad players makes up for the extra 50 cents rake that party takes ($5.50) is the standard at most sites.

How long are the levels at each site?
On iPoker the levels are 9 mins each and at level 5 blinds are 100-200.[/code]

Party and stars both have turbos and regular, 5/10 min intervals each.
Party rake below $11 is ripoff though...
If you do play at party, I wouldn't advise turbos below $11. Variance is mental in these things and 20% is too much.
