HI,
Im not new to online poker but i have decided to take it seriously instead of playing poker like the lottery. I have read all the topics on SnG and tourny stratergy on the forum and i am wondering where to start. Sometimes i feel the $6 buy ins is of very poor quality play are these SnG still profitable with the correct stratergy. My bank roll is about $90 so i feel its about right for the $6 however if i can learn more on a bigger buy in say $10 or $20 i have the funds to support that. But i dont really want to pay out of my playing limits. I not sure how to rate myself as a player i understand the hands but correct plays with middle pair or correct bluffs all the stuff that makes a great player is what i wanna learn and learn it to win.
Thanks
P.S this is the best forum i have ever looked at what a find so much detailed support and the video's i hope it grows the first i have seen what a great idea.

^^^ What he said.
Or better yet, switch to cash games and grind 5NL (this comes from a player who struggled to build a roll in SnG's and watched his bankroll skyrocket when he switched to cash).

Yup, id be playing 5NL ring for sure, it teaches you alot about postflop play too, which you can incorporate into your SNG's if you choose to go back. I was a SNG junkie, made a decent amount of money - but cash tables is where its at.

0 < BR < 110, play $1.10 sngs
110 < BR < 220, play $5.50 sngs
220 < BR < 440, play $11 sngs
440 < BR < 800, play $22 sngs
By the time you grind it up that high you will not need these guidelines anymore. Sticking strictly to these limits will guarantee your BR to increase, provided you study and practice. This means, as soon as you drop to $109, you must play a $1.10 sngs instead of a $5.50. Be disciplined about it and it will pay off.
And to answer another question you had.

You are correct, they are very poor and therefore your ITM and ROI will be very high. I ran 45% ITM at the $5.50's on UB until moving up. the $10's are similarly poor. Those were the glory days!
The same exact strategy that will earn you $ at the $33's is the same strategy that will earn you $ in the $1.10 games. The only reason why you have a lower ROI at the $33's is because there are much fewer fish. Any advice you get from someone playing at the higher levels is relevant for the $1 tables as well.
