For some this might be a stupid and unnecessary post. It has been said over a million times on every pokerforum you can think of. Slowplaying high pairs PF is BAD. Next time, remember this hand. One of the villains didn't play his KK very well, see what happend?

It is incorrect to slowplay pocket kings, but the slight possibility that someone might flop quads with a trash hand isn't really the reason.

ya but had he raised from the SB with like 3 limpers no one would have folded and KK doesn't play well in a multi-way pot. This way he can keep the pot small and get away when the flop comes Axx 85% of the time like it does when you hold pocket Kings.

then shove pf, I hear KK plays well all in preflop
or stick 25BB in and shove any non ace flop
also, KK plays fine in multiway pots, especially when you flop a set

ya but every time I get KK in PF my opponent has AA like 95% of the time, and when I flop a set it's likely someone else will flop a straight, as Kxx flops hit a lot of broadway hands, so I'm not always happy flopping top set, especially on like AKQ when my opponent could have pocket Aces or JT.

if you dont slowplay then they will all fold often times and you can get no value for your pocket cowboys (KK). I wld rather risk some1 makin quads than have no value with such a huge hand.
If you don't slowplay KK then what are you gonna slowplay AA only???

I fold pre-flop here.
There's already three players in the pot and one still to act behind me, and as someone already said the "Cowboys" don't play well in a multi-way pot. Also with 3-4 other players, at least one and probably two of them will have "American Airlines", so I'm probably dominated way too often.

Well tony is saying we should fold KK because we have multiple limpers infront. That is terrible advice. Now if i'm misunderstanding his post then please point that out but i don't think i am. His own words are i fold preflop. KK doesn't play well in multi way flops. That looks to me like he is saying he folds KK if multiple people limp in front of him. He also assumes that 1 of them must have AA.
