I haven't played online since early January and just before I was about to make a deposit large enough to give me an adaquate bankroll was when Neteller shut down. I am considering opening an ePassporte account but before I do I want to know if the fish are disappearing on Pstars. If so I may need to start playing live at the local casinos.
I mostly play $5 sng's and tourneys btw. I don't like ring as much.

Thanks for the help!

How much is an adequate bankroll? I've got a few guys on the coast (including myself) that will take your real $$$ and transfer it to your PStars account. That's how it's been going between my poker buddies.

$5.50s are super fishy as usual. To ease your worries I'd recommend using the free sharkscope tournament picker to make sure you only join the 1+fish games.

I'd concur the games are getting tougher

There's still money to be made if you're decent and you know where to look. As for 5+.5 SNGs... if you can't beat them for 30+% no matter what then you just need to improve.

I have found cash games to be difficult, especially 100NL. I imagine certain level SnGs will have become much harder. I know that turbos at say the $27 level are a lot harder now than they were a year ago. I haven't played a $55 SnG for a few months, but I bet those are difficult now.

salsa's right though, you should probably be able to beat $5.50 SnGs. I do think that the micro stakes SnG players on Stars have become a lot better than they were back when I first started on them, though.

If you like MTTs, maybe that's one place where you won't notice an immediate increase in level of difficulty. Once you get deep a few people will know what they're doing, but MTTs attract a lot of fish and some of these fish get deep and make money.

I totally just rambled. Just my opinions and thoughts.

Edit: this is all on Stars.

I stopped playing when Netteller went out, but just had a session tonight. It could be just a bad night for me, but Full Tilt is definitely felt more difficult, even $10NL and the $5.50 S&Gs. Of course, Full Tilt has always had a rep for being tougher than the majority, but there was a nice fishy point in between party pulling out and neteller going.
I'm just a girl, you should push.

The 100NL Cash games on Stars seem very fishy to me. I'm obviously a master of all that is living and breathing. I am not a master of owning a car however, and I can't seem to get layed more than once a month.

Hopefully I am just getting better but the cheap NL's on bodog have been getting more profitable for me each month since I joined there. February will be my best month.

Bodog is incredibly fishy. Really really really fishy. If you sit down at any micro/low stakes at bodog either SNGs or ring games, you will crap yourself at how fishy they are during the evening (EST or PST).

In the standard $5.50 SnGs they have 10 people a table. Within one or two orbits I can basically promise you one or two players will all-in and leave with Ax or two face cards, which basically means free money for you. That extra seat compared to PStars doesn't even factor in, it's just an extra $5 to the prize pool.

For some reason, I find Stars always a bit harder than the other sites I play. The cheaper SNGs just seem to be tougher than, say, Party or Syndicate and the cash games are my nemesis. I rarely have a decent session at Stars, in contrast to both the other sites.

Party is a cash cow for me and I rarely turn in a losing session (apart from Friday night and I blame the Shiraz for that), but I am probably break even or worse playing the $10NL games at Stars. The last session there saw me card dead for 2 hours and down over a buyin, as well as being frustrated to fuck with the slowness of the games.

Even though I hate the UI at Party, it's more beatable (as far as I am concerned) and hence I am more likely to play there whilst I am trying to get my way to being rolled for $25NL.

Your showdown says one pair yet according to your hole card and the flop you should have had a set??

they are still out there, the fish, that is. you just have to look a bit harder than at party. table selection, and seat selection becomes more important. but, yes, there has been a difference. nothing you shouldnt be able to handle though.

Funniest hand I had on stars lately is when I had KJ 200xBB deep. Another 200xBB stack gave me all his money after the flop came KKJ, and he turned his pair of 4's Q kicker. Ya that's right, Q4. All his money.

Everyone complains about FT, but there are still a lot of fish even there. Just last night:

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Holdem Ring game - Blinds: $1/$2 - 9 players - Converter

MP2: $214.15
Hero: $272.75
CO: $451.40
Button: $149.70
SB: $201.85
BB: $188

Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is MP3 with 6 6
2 folds, MP1 calls, MP2 folds, Hero raises to $9, 4 folds, MP1 calls.

Flop: Q 9 9 ($21, 2 players)
MP1 checks, Hero bets $18, MP1 calls.

Why is he turning his hand into a bluff?

edit: I guess he's repping the 9 and trying to push me off of AQ/KK+, but the guy's 50/8/2.5 over 150 hands, I'm not giving him a lot of credit. You're right though, it isn't super fishy.
