we all like reads, right?
opener is uber loose maniac fish. 3-bettor is kinda aggro, but a bit tigher than is normal but may have noticed I'm a little aggressive at this table
what's my play, and why?
Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (9 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com
CO ($41)
Hero (Button) ($59.80)
SB ($18.50)
BB ($10.75)
UTG ($106.15)
UTG+1 ($101.80)
MP1 ($10)
MP2 ($72.20)
MP3 ($7)
Preflop: Hero is Button with Q , A
1 fold, UTG+1 calls $0.50, 2 folds, MP3 bets $2, 1 fold, Hero raises to $7, SB raises to $18.50 (All-In), bb folds, UTG+1 folds, MP3 folds, Hero ???

i def agree its a squeeze, if he sees you raising the uber maniac fish then he probaby is 3betting your range pretty wide. against a range of 88+aj+, you have 42% equity and i think he could be making the squeeze with a lot of random junk as well...

I made a post earlier regarding short stacks and how/when to play with them. I find myself in this exact type of situation, or similar when you are ISO raising a limper IP and the shorty shoves from the blinds.
I am having mixed results when deciding to play with them.
Do you have any stats or reads on this guy? I usually try to see them play a few hands with at least one showdown before deciding to gamble.
If I have no reads then I usually fold here and just wait for a better spot to take them on.

download poker stove if you haven't already.
Run a few hand ranges vs specific hands. See what happens.
Then get good at noting how often you need to be good when calling 10bb into 30bb.
People don't typically want to discuss how to exploit/play shortstacks - as the same reasoning can help to improve shortstack strategy.
Hit me up about it in IRC if you want.

Pretty meh, isn't it Daven? It's close either way. If he hasn't adjusted, you MIGHT be a bit better off folding (I've looked at stove, pot odds, etc). If he has adjusted properly, you're definitely all right calling the all-in.
