littleogre has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Ok i know you guys are reading the title of this thread and saying is this guy retarded or something. Set hunting with kings wtf is he thinking ? Well hear me out please. Over in the poker etc forum i posted of a player who has a pfr % of 1 percent over a sample size of 6k hand. Meaning his Raising standards are KK+ Against such a player isn't it suicide to 3-bet KK as his range actually has us crushed. Also after looking at his DB more closely he stacks of nearly every time he raises pf. So if stacks are 100xbb+ cant we pretty much call him with 2 waffles and stack off when ever we hit 2 pair or better and the flop doesn't have an ace or king? We would fear an ace or king cause remember he only raises KK+ so he has a 50/50 chance of having a set when one of those 2 cards hits.

Yes you should just call his PFRs if you have kings. Yes you probably have good implied odds to call with suited connectors and the like preflop.

Additionally the chance of him having a set is not 50% if the flop comes Axx or Kxx. If you don't understand why then read or re-read: How-To: Calculating Hand Combinations, About Blockers, etc. - Poker Forums

Locked because this is going to turn into a really shitty thread even though the questions are legit. gl.

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

He doesnt have 50/50 chance to have a SET when a K or A hits the board.
