I'm still struggling with these but they are helping my bubble play in the SNGs significantly. My stack was low but I was about to quit playing anyway. I assumed everyone was on a draw. After BB checked on the turn I wasn't sure what to do. The guys were all playing scattered.
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.05 BB (6 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com
BB ($9.65)
UTG ($5.50)
MP ($2.15)
Hero (CO) ($2.20)
Button ($3.29)
SB ($6.59)
Preflop: Hero is CO with Q , 10
2 folds, Hero calls $0.05, Button calls $0.05, 1 fold, BB checks
Flop: ($0.17) 3 , 10 , J (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.25, Button calls $0.25, BB calls $0.25
Turn: ($0.92) K (3 players)
BB checks, Hero checks, Button checks
River: ($0.92) A (3 players)
BB bets $0.75, Hero calls $0.75, Button raises to $2.99 (All-In), BB raises to $9.35 (All-In), Hero ???

first off i'd suggest you get in the habit of sitting with a full buy-in, and when u do you won't have to open limp.
on that note, given your stack size here I think this is a pretty ez call, imo.

I think hero pretty much has to overcall here.
Hero's getting like 6-1 or better with a straight, even if the flush is out there, I think you'd make money over time in this situation at these stakes getting 6-1.

The older I get, the more I start wondering; Just what in the hell is going on here?

You're about a 70% favorite to win this. Easy call. You need a full buy-in becuase you missed a great opportunity to stack both guys.
This is definately long term +EV

Elaborate please. Where did you get the 70%? What hands are they doing this with on the river that we beat?
I'm not debating the hand with the above, just wondering why you think this and how you came about your decision.

By scattered I mean he min bets with a set of A and then checks River one hand and bets 2x pot on river with air. He actually did this too. I had no clue what he might have... ever.
