I have come across some new posters recently that seem to be iffy on the basic rules of HE. If I were to start a video series of myself showing different concepts, from the most basic rules, to preflop play and odds, to hand reading, to online-vs-live; would this be useful?

I understand that most people that find this site already know the basic rules, but it could be a good free alternative to learn the basics from an amateur as opposed to buying a book or DVD to learn what HE is. Not that I would discount books and things, but rather cite them and use them.

This has been going through my head for awhile, and I want to get some opinions. Maybe I could start the series on a more advanced note than the rules? Maybe it's a no good idea? Maybe I could do one, then someone else could do one, and pass it around FTR? Make like an FTR Hold 'Em chronicle or something? Throw me some feedback guys... and courtie.

I hear there is a site in the making that will open in late Sept that will be just like Cardrunners for low stakes grinders, doing exactly that. It's supposed to be based on $100NL and under. Videos, articles and such, for less than a buy in at $10NL a month. No initiation. I have seen some of the vids for the $5NL and $10NL already. pretty +EV.

There is a 1/2 hr vid explaining online poker, how to deposit and the basic rules, as well as an explanation about how to grind the lowest stakes into a $1000 BR.

I don't care what is on these other sites. I don't go to these other sites.

Since Mcdonalds is making hamburgers, does that mean I can't sell them at my restaurant?

Besides, I am going over basic holdem. Not online play. I will throw that in there as a part though.

That new site can suck my... well, you get it.

You can sell all the "hamburgers" you want. You ain't Mcdonalds, and will never be Mcdonalds. And there is a difference. And what the hell script do you need to make a video??

For everyone's benefit, I was not dissing any site. I would never tell someone not to check out a legit site with good information that can help your game. I was just a little pissed that I just got told that I couldn't do this because someone else did it already.

If you don't like the idea, fine. Don't watch it. It's not for you anyway. It's for BEGINNERS. Like everyone was at one time. Gotta learn the game somewhere. If no one wants me to do this, then I won't waste my time. But don't give me shit about something I'm trying to do for someone else's benefit.
