So I played a 9 table about an hour 15 minute session. Was up at one table to about $27 but ended up down for the session $.1

Now I was kinda surprised, I hadn't been stacked the entire session, lost a allin or 2 or a short stack, had a few semi bluffs turn sour, boards turn bad after I value bet down. But no real spots were I could point to were I lost so much money.

So here are some hands from this session

Hand 1: a little bit of history on this guy, saw him get all in on the flop with a gut shot draw, he was running 60/9, I value bet him every street with a weak flush earlier.
In my experience at these limits w/o a solid read this usually is not a bluff correct?

You know theres no rule saying you NEED to c-bet every flop and double barrel every turn if called right?

Hand 1 seems fine.

Hand 2 I'd check/fold turn. I may even c/f flop since he calls our cbet a LOT there.

Hand 3 I cant possibly fathom why you're betting this turn...
Just playing to improve.

Hand 2 i dont like the c-bet here, double barrel makes it worse.

hand 3 bet on flop isnt to bad but i check turn here, and ofcourse fold river.

to me from these 3 hands it seems like your leaking, Try not to be so aggressive, u wont ever get these micro donks to fold so dont even try.
I post nonconstructive piss

At NL10 I'd consider checking in hand 2 because cbetting has to be -EV against donks that are way too loose. If you get pushed off your hand by a worse one, you only folded ace-high.

But that flop hit his range super-hard. He's calling you with these high connected cards and mid pps. I don't think he's going away with 78 or 99 here.

Now if you had an overpair, that would be all the more reason to bet this flop.

Why is hand 1 judged to be fine?

Isn't he giving his opponent good odds for drawing his flush by betting only 0,80 $? It makes for a 0,80:1,95 (approx. 1:2,5) ratio for the Villain to call, while his chances of getting the flush in two cards are more like 1:2?

Shouldn't he bet a little bit over the pot instead? (like 1,45 $)

Or do you just consider the odds of the villain getting the flush from the turn?

I've been in exactly this situation this afternoon in a live game (Pocket Aces against a flush draw... finally won on the river when it showed a 4th club card while I held the Ace of Club against a King High Flush of Club... still, I've been thinking all day long about my moves and the sizes of the bet I used in that situation)

#2 My first thought was cbetting isn´t cool either, but with overs and a gutshot i dont really mind firing once. Turn is terrible card to double barrel, all of his 9x just caught it, if he got here with a Jack he doesnt fold now and KQ sticks around anyway. I really cant imagine a hand he´d fold beside AT/KT

He calls to see a turn, not to see a turn and a river.

We're not planning on letting him see the second card for free. That means we'll bet pot on the turn if the flush card doesn't come.

you're confusing the turn pot with the flop pot, .80 into 1.15 on the flop is much more standard and denies the express odds for the flush draw.

I'm not sure about the turn bet though, it's a little under half the pot(1.30 into 2.75). Though with extremely straight forward villains(aka 10NL) I guess it could save some money here...

Not even the pros win everytime. You can do everything correctly and still lose. That's why this is called gambling.
