Well, Ive seen a thread similar to this over at 2+2 and think its something we should start trying out here.

By coming up with goals and having something tangible to work towards it really helps your development. So instead of wandering around the poker world aimlessly, why dont we set some goals down and start off the month with some direction. Im personally setting my goals high, but still at something that I can achieve to help motivate me more. At the end of this month [if I can remember], we can do a recap and see how close we came [or how much we surpassed] to our goals.

Also, these goals dont have to be solely about poker, school, personal life, etc. can all be included.


Anyways here are my goals for September:
1. Play 40k hands
2. Become rolled for $400nl near the end of the month and put in 10k hands there
3. Clear $4k in bonuses and rakeback
4. Read atleast 2 new poker books
5. Try out PL Omaha
6. Do all of this while doing decently in school

 1. get my ass back to party and move up to 200NL (was an August goal, aaaalmost there though).
2. post more hands. 2-3 hands pr session/pr day.
3. buy and read NLTAP.
4. get started on my Masters degree.

Goals are the best thing, like, evar! No, for real.

0) Continue to play well at 50NL until have a big cushion prior to moving up
1) Move up to 100NL
2) Play +EV at 100NL
3) Continue to improve/develop
4) Spend more time thinking about what opponent has before I bet, rather than go into auto mode.
5) Make my first substantial cashout. (I plan to stay at 100NL for like, evar).
6) Finish application prior to the 15th.
7) Plan a trip to vegas.
8) Help my personal friends become even better poker players.

1. Cry about how I was playing at the same tables as Halv, Renton, Andy etc a few months ago and they're pwning $200NL+ while I'm getting my arse handed to me at $100

1- try to play 20+ hrs weekly (been playing only about 10 hrs.)
2- build the bankroll so i can play 100NL by Oct. (no more withdrawals) need to have $3k before i will move up , so i need $1k more
3- must change sites to a better system once i've cleared this bouns; shit is laggy as all hell...
4- Ultimate Goal: make atleast $300 mo. every month
5- invest $200 into that casino bonus whoring.. i feel like im just throwin money away doing this.. cuz i dont have a clue/ nor comfortable playing blackjack.. BUT i'll try anything once!!

2. 10K hands @ $25NL on Dise
3. Clear InterPants bonus at $1/$2 without losing more than $100
4. If (3) then get William Hill Bonus at same stakes
5. If not (3) then see Biondino (2)
6. If not (5) then 5K 6-max hands at $10NL

End of September Update BUMP:

Need to get my old PT database back from my other harddrive before posting how things went, but I fell way short of my hands goal which really limited my other goals. Also, I underestimated my work load starting out at college right now and my work ethic sucks so I need to work on that.
