Had a tourney this weekend and had a heated debate over the call of a hand.
Had 2 players who picked up a flush and there was an Ace in the community cards. In NL Hold em would the 2 players both split the pot having Flush Ace high or would they go card by bard to determine which hand has high card?
When I have played on-line it splits it between the two but want to clarify if there is a different rule for live tourneys. I know that in standard poker, it goes to highest card but due to the community cards, I thought Hold em may have a different rule.

It goes to the person with the high card in the hand (or, better put, the person with the highest five card total)...example:
I hold:
you hold:
the board is:
My flush wins cuz I have the AKQJ7 club flush
your flush loses cuz you have AKT97, so your flush is lower than mine.

Thnks for the fast responses. Looks like my brother in law will have to tuck tail and admit to my father that he was right.

Humphrind already has a thread addressing these issues in the "READ BEFORE POSTING thread."
But I was planning on making one.
