Do you use this strategy, I have done it a few times and it has worked well but that could have been just luck

Everyone folds to the button. You are in the big blind and the button raises and you think it's a steal attempt, small blind folds, instead of a resteal bluff, just call and then bet on the flop no matter what cards. Is this a working strategy longterm? I realize it could be risky but it's not as obvious as reraising preflop.

How do you know the person is stealing?

How deep is the money? With shallow money c/ring any piece of the flop works well.

If you think it's a steal then it's correct to test the water postflop. I do it often. It's a legitimate strategy. I'll tell you what I did last night playing the role of the thief..

I had 72 offsuit in BB. Only one guy posted, so I raised. He called and the flop came 8h Kh 3s. I bet half the pot. He raised 3x the amount I bet. I raised it to 6x my original bet. He folded I showed. Hahahahaha.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.
