I'm a relatively seasoned tourney player looking to expand my game into cash. I've been reading Theory and Practice, a lot. I think I'm on my forth or so read at the moment. I figure something will eventually sink in .

Ok, onto hand 1. Obviously we want to raise our best (made) hands here, call behind with our hands with show-down potential (and re-raise our best hands we wouldn't normal continue with as bluffs?). Do I need this kind of balance 10NL?

Hand 2. Reraising is fine here?

Hand 1

Not a lot of information on the villain, 15/12/inf over about 30 hands. He seemed to be getting a little more active immediately before this hand and generally seemed to come out firing a c-bet after raising pre-flop.

Button ($6.95)
SB ($2.25)
BB ($2)
UTG ($17.15)
UTG+1 ($2.90)
MP1 ($2)
Hero (MP2) ($5.15)
CO ($9.15)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with 9, 9
UTG bets $0.30, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.30, 4 folds

Flop: ($0.75) A, 4, 2 (2 players)
UTG bets $0.50, Hero raises to $1.80, UTG raises to $16.85 (All-In), Hero folds

Total pot: $4.35 | Rake: $0.20

Hand 2

Only played 10 hands against the villain who was running at 40/20. It seemed like a likely blind steal to me.

Hand 1 is a fine bruff.
Hand 2 is super standard. His range is wide and you have equity. I might just re-raise to 80c and shove any flop.
