Works best if the button is abusing his button-betting privileges and seems weak/tight otherwise. However, what are you trying to represent? What is your general line if BN calls and

1) the turn is a blank
2) the turn is an overcard club?

The checkraise is pretty weak and gives a flush draw reasonable odds to call.

This sort of situation is something that I'm working on, so these are honest questions.

EDIT: there's a difference between the turn and the river.... silly me

I didn't raise to 3x because I wanted it to look like a bet for value (it sorta was one). I figured there was a reasonable chance I had the best hand, and that he was making a position play. Had he called it I probably would have dropped out of aggression mode, but as long as he made it fairly cheap for me I would have called this down to showdown (assuming my raise isolated him).
